Structural analysis as network analysis.

I was introduced to a new structural analysis concept for me. Network analysis is a form of analysis that can be done with SAS or Stella and microsimulations.

Second Life explained.

Here is a good explanation of Second Life from You Tube video . Author: You Tube ID SusiSpicoli. Description: Introduction to Second life. Meant as an explanation for people from the business world not as familiar with virtual worlds, or second life.

I am watching video of an American novelist in Second Life played on YouTube

Computers are great for art, I like the opinions of Kurt Vonnegut Jr. on extended families. I have an extended family. I have family on three continents and in at least four countries. But Vonnegut actually seems to think travel negates extended families whereas I think travel is easier these days making the local part of the extended family definition Vonnegut used less valid. Also and this fits his definition what defines a family is changing and thus my family is being extended by relations such as adoption, convenience and the Internet for staying in touch.

Kurt Vonnegut Jr. has some wisdom about libraries

It is interesting to watch an avatar of Kurt Vonnegut Jr. being interviewed in Second Life. He suggested to students using a library that they take out a novel that hadn't been checked out in twenty years. I had done this with Churchman last fall. Although Churchman is not a novelist in this case. Here it the interview of Kurt Vonnegut Jr. from within Second Life placed on You Tube.

Cool and funny video in RL of Second life (SL)

Wayne MacPhail is a digital person I have been following because of his digital output and Second Life work, so I would say he is also a cyborg citizen. Here is a funny video of Real Life(RL) people acting out like Second Life avatars. Wayne Macphail found it and posted it on facebook. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flkgNn50k14

I bought a Scottevest jacket and now can wear more electronics.

I did in the end purchase a ScotteVest jacket which is a product connected to Xybernaut and is a sort of cyborg like item of clothing. It allows me to hold electronics in pockets and run wires through the lining which was something I had made before with an Afghan jacket and a guitar cable in 1988. Now Scottevest have a patent on this idea.

I did not buy the Xybernaut computer yet.

I think this Xybernaut Mav unit and 8 inch screen will cost 340 US$. I just don't have the money yet.
