I have been using Dell Computers lately.
The first Dell brand computer I bought was a Dell Mini 9 netbook with Ubuntu 8.04 LTS. I owned it for a year and a half but rarely used it. I did take it with me to one on campus university class I had last winter, in the winter of 2010. I found it light weight. I ended up giving it to child in my life and left Kubuntu installed on it for that child.
The second Dell computer I bought was an Inspiron 1545 and I used this for 1 year and then sold it to a musican friend who paid me back every month until now he has almost paid it off completely.
I still owe money to Dell Financing for both of these machines.
