Map of Stressors
This map took about half an hours work with Photoshop.
It shows the locations of school, home and work. This is commonly what
people mean when they say they are stressed out. Environmentally stress
comes from temperature extremes, noise and smoke. Health wise cigarettes
and coffee cause stress. Two good solutions I find in dealing with
stress is walking and rest. Cutting down on coffee and smoking is the
recommended technique as is meditation. More analytical solutions are
identifying the main stressors as this map does and trying to move away
from or mitigate the effects.
So the map also shows where, I buy coffee(the 7-11), beer(the tavern) and the
road where 10,000 automobiles pass my window every work day. I work
part-time at the theatre, attend groups at the Social Service centre, go to classes at
the school. For relaxation, I walk near the park, the lake and the River.

Neighborhood Map
The map of my neighbourhood at another scale and with less area covered. North is down in both maps. The lines are roads in the second map, the dark lines are roads I use with less frequency, the dashed line is the bus only road the transit way. The squares are churches, schools, malls and the large rectangle in the bottom is a Government of Canada Campus. This map took a few hours with Claris Works Drawing program.
